Advantages of the Special Enrollment
WA Cares Act Payroll Tax
Coverage being offered may qualify you for an exemption from the new WA Cares Act payroll tax being implemented 1/1/22.
Employee Underwriting
Employees 18 – 64 years old, working 20 hours/week or more, will receive Simplified Underwriting during this special open enrollment period that begins August 16, 2021 and ends August 31, 2021. All other employees may be eligible with full medical underwriting. Be sure to allow enough time to complete the underwriting on a timely basis.
Spousal Underwriting
Actively-at-work, 18 – 49 year old spouses of eligible employees will receive Simplified Underwriting during this special open enrollment period. All other spouses 18 – 69 years old may be eligible with full medical underwriting.
Coverage
Coverage is available to all employees and their spouses 18 – 69 years old and provides coverage in your home, community assisted living facility or nursing home.
No Gender-Based Pricing
No gender-based pricing which means applicants do not pay higher premiums based on their gender.
Portability
All plans are fully portable. If you are terminated, leave your job or move to another state, you can take your plan with you.
